Regular meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. Public hearings are held at 7:00 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month. Because of the present state of emergency, and until further notice, members of the public are urged not to attend Board of Supervisor meetings in person. All are encouraged to view and participate in meetings through electronic means. Meetings may be viewed live on RVTV, Channel 3, or on the County’s website https://roanokecountyva.gov(and accessed by clicking on the “Watch Board Meetings Online” button). Prior to and during meetings, citizens may share comments by email (to djacks@roanokecountyva.gov) or by phone (540-776- 7278). When submitting comments, please include your name and address. Comments submitted by email and by phone will be read aloud during meetings, subject to reasonable time limitations. Lubeck, Country Attorney) E.PUBLIC HEARING AND ADOPTION OF ORDERS 1.Public hearing for citizen comments on the following items: Calendar Year 2020 Real Estate, Personal Property and Machinery and Tools Tax Rates(Laurie Gearheart, Director of Finance andManagement Services) 2.Request to adopt the following taxes rates: (a) Order setting the tax rate on Real Estate in the County of Roanoke for the calendar year 2020; (b) Order setting the tax levy on Personal Property situate in the County of Roanoke for the calendar year 2020; (c) Order setting the tax levy on a classification of personal property - Machinery and Tools - situate in the County of Roanoke for calendar year 2020(Laurie Gearheart, Director of Finance andManagement Services) F.APPOINTMENTS 1.Library Board (appointed by District) 2.Parks, Recreation and Tourism (appointed by District) G.CONSENT AGENDA ALL MATTERS LISTED UNDER THE CONSENT AGENDAARE CONSIDERED BY THE BOARD TO BE ROUTINE AND WILL BE ENACTED BY ONE RESOLUTION IN THE FORM OR FORMS LISTED BELOW.
