Regular meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. Public hearings are held at 7:00 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month. Deviations from this schedule will be announced. The meetings are broadcast live on RVTV, Channel 3, and will be rebroadcast on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 5 p.m. Board of Supervisors meetings can also be viewed online through Roanoke County’s website at www.RoanokeCountyVA.gov. Resolution of the Board of Supervisors of Roanoke County, Virginia declaring its intention to reimburse expenditures from the proceeds of a financing for costs associated with the new Career and Technical Education Center (CTE) and renovations to Glen Cove and W.E. Cundiff Elementary Schools (Laurie Gearheart, Director of Finance and Management Services) Roanoke County Board of Supervisors Agenda August 22, 2023 Page 3 of 5 D. FIRST READING OF ORDINANCES 1. Ordinance 1) accepting funds in the amount of $465,091 from the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation and appropriating such funds to the County’s grant fund for operation of the CORTRAN program, and 2) reallocating $19,379 from the County’s general fund to the grant fund, for operation of the CORTRAN program (Paula Benke, CORTRAN Program Administrator) 2. Ordinance 1) accepting $170,709 from the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation and appropriating such funds to the County’s grant fund for fiscal years 2024 and 2025 for expanded shuttle service to the National Park Service’s McAfee Knob trailhead parking lot, and 2) reappropriating $42,677 of County funds from the general fund to the grant fund for expanded shuttle service to the McAfee Knob trailhead parking lot (Megan G.
