Good afternoon and welcome to our meeting for March 22, 2022. Regular meetings are
held on the second and fourth Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. Public hearings are held at 7:00
p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month. Deviations from this schedule will be
announced. The meetings are broadcast live on RVTV, Channel 3, and will be
rebroadcast on Friday at 7:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 5 p.m. Board
of Supervisors meetings can also be viewed online through Roanoke County’s website
at www.RoanokeCountyVA.gov. Our meetings are closed-captioned, so it is important
for everyone to speak directly into the microphones at the podium. Individuals who
require assistance or special arrangements to participate in or attend Board of
Supervisors meetings should contact the Clerk to the Board at (540) 772 -2005 at least
48 hours in advance. Please turn all cell phones off or place on silent.

E. REQUEST FOR PUBLIC HEARINGS AND FIRST READING OF REZONING
ORDINANCE-CONSENT AGENDA: Approval of these items does not indicate
support for, or judge the merits of, the requested zoning actions but satisfies
procedural requirements and schedules the Public Hearings which will be held after
recommendation by the Planning Commission:
1. The petition of ABoone Real Estate, Inc., to rezone approximately 32.32 acres
from R-1, Low Density Residential District, to C-2, High Intensity Commercial
District, and R-3, Medium Density Multi-Family Residential District, to construct a
hotel, professional/medical offices, and townhouses located in the 1300 and
1400 blocks of Edgebrook Road, Catawba Magisterial District
2. The petition of Ronald Moran and Michael Boynton to rezone approximately
3.145 acres from R-1, Low Density Residential District, to I-1, Low Intensity
Industrial District, located at 4038, 4056, and 4066 Crossmill Lane, Catawba
Magisterial District
3. The petition of WECO LLC to obtain a special use permit to operate a short term
rental on approximately 2.28 acres on property zoned R -1, Low Density

support the fiscal year 2022-2023 operating budget:

1. Ordinance reapportioning the representation in the Board of Supervisors of
Roanoke County, Virginia, by altering the boundaries of the election districts,
establishing voting precincts therefor, incorporating a map showing the
