As a long-term resident of Roanoke County, having lived here for over 50 years, I am wri�ng to express my strong support for the Reed Road Solar 1 LLC project, which has the poten�al to become a vital community solar program in our area. I have personal and professional experience with solar energy systems, having installed them at my own residence as well as on public buildings. The results have been outstanding, with signiﬁcant reduc�ons in carbon emissions and substan�al cost savings. This ﬁrsthand success strengthens my belief in the importance and beneﬁts of solar energy. The Reed Road Solar 1 LLC project presents a signiﬁcant opportunity for our residents, especially those who may face challenges in installing solar panels on their proper�es due to space, shading, or ﬁnancial constraints. By par�cipa�ng in this project, individuals can access solar energy and receive u�lity bill credits without the need for upfront investment or installa�on. I believe that this community solar program aligns with Roanoke County's sustainability goals and will oﬀer tangible beneﬁts to our residents by providing access to renewable energy, reducing energy costs, and contribu�ng to environmental conserva�on. I strongly urge the Board of Supervisors to support and approve the Reed Road Solar 1 LLC project.
