Good afternoon,
I received this email from Sandra Reed who came into the office today.
She asked that her comments be shared with the Board of Supervisors as her and her
uncle will not be able to attend the public hearing this evening.
Thank you!

Subject: [EXTERNAL] - Cardinal Park Rezoning
Skylar, Thank you for taking the time to review the proposed plan for the rezoning of Cardinal Park with me today. My uncle Glenn Reed is the owner of 2231 Hardy Road, which borders a tract of land being rezoned for the townhome development. ZjQcmQRYFpfptBannerStart

Skylar,
Thank you for taking the time to review the proposed plan for the rezoning of Cardinal
Park with me today.
My uncle Glenn Reed is the owner of 2231 Hardy Road, which borders a tract of land
being rezoned for the townhome development.
As we discussed, my concern is the additional traffic on Hardy Road, especially in the
morning and afternoon with the school buses and residents commuting to work.
Vehicles passing through travel at a high rate of speed on this section of Hardy Road. I
expect a majority of the traffic from the new community will be making a left turn onto
Hardy Road towards the Town of Vinton.
I feel strongly that a stop light needs to be installed at the intersection of Hardy Road and
Cardinal Park Drive to provide a reasonable amount of safety for the new residents in
Cardinal Park, the existing residents of Hardy Road, and those who travel Hardy Road.
Let’s not wait to see how many accidents occur before taking the action needed for
reasonable public safety.
Thank you,
Sandra Reed
