This message was sent from outside the Roanoke County email system. Report Suspicious ‌ From:Rebecca Shelley To:Cave Spring District Subject:[EXTERNAL] - Clinic Zoning Date:Wednesday, February 11, 2026 6:47:10 AM Mr. Mahoney, I am a life-long Roanoke County resident and live in your district. I have one child who has matriculated through Roanoke County Schools and another child in his junior year at HVHS. My husband, an Arizona native, and I purposely wanted to raise our family here, however, we are questioning that decision after reading in the Roanoke Times about the consent agenda you voted for to limit women’s health availability. I never thought Roanoke County would openly try to attack women in such a way. I have no idea what “guardrails” Mr. Radford thinks we need to provide women health access. Comparing women’s health clinics to vape shops, intimating that women seeking reproductive health care are akin to drug users, is nonsensical. This is a blatant political attack against women and we will do everything we can to voice our extreme opposition to this zoning proposal from passing. We are not Lynchburg, nor Washington County, referenced in the article, and I was always proud of of our county’s ability to stay neutral and locally focused, but this disregard for Roanoke women’s healthcare is abhorrent. Shame on you and the board for being so heartless. Rebecca Shelley Sent from my iPad
