The Board of Supervisors of Roanoke County , Virginia met this day at the Roanoke
County Administration Center, this being the first regularly scheduled meeting of the
month of March 2026. Audio and video recordings of this meeting will be held on file for
a minimum of five (5) years in the office of the Clerk to the Board of Supervisors.
Before the meeting was called to order, an invocation/a moment of silence was
observed. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.

Supervisor Mahoney moved to adopt all matters on the consent agenda. Supervisor
North seconded the motion. Motion approved.

F. CITIZENS' COMMENTS AND COMMUNICATIONS
This time has been set aside for Roanoke County citizens to address the Board on
matters of interest or concern. Roanoke County citizens are defined as current
residents of Roanoke County. While the Board desires to hear from all who desire to
speak, this agenda item is limited to a duration of 30 minutes. Each ind ividual
speaker shall be afforded 3 minutes to speak .

Supervisor North moved to receive and file the reports that have been included with
the agenda under Item G. Supervisor Hooker seconded the motion. Motion
approved .

Supervisors were offered the opportunity to share comments and provide updates to
their peers and the public on items of interest to them.
I. CLOSED MEETING
Action No. 031026-4
1. Section 2.2-3711 (A)(5) of the Code of Virginia , for d iscussion concerning a
prospective business or industry or the expansion of an existing business or
industry where no previous announcement has been made of the business ' or
industry's interest in locating or expanding its facilities in the community . The
Board will discuss potential business location or expansion in the five magisterial
districts .
2. Section 2 .2-3711 (A)(3) of the Code of Virginia , for discussion or consideration of
the disposition of publicly held real property , where discussion in an open
meeting would adversely affect the barga i ning position or negotiating strategy of
the Board of Supervisors .
Supervisor Radford moved to go to closed session. Supervisor Hooker seconded
the motion. Motion approved.

In the closed session just concluded , nothing was discussed except the matter which
was identified in the motion to convene in closed session. On ly those matters
lawfully permitted to be discussed under the Virginia Freedom of Info rmat ion Act
were discussed .
Supervisor Hooker moved to adopt the certification resolution . Supervisor North
seconded the motion. Motion approved.
