Mr. Hodge presented possible revenue sources for the
future.
With approval of the General Assembly, a 1/2 cent sales

generate $29,000; reinstitution of the refuse fee could generate
$1.3 million dollars, minus the administrative expenses.
If the
charter were amended to allow for a meals tax and cigarette tax,
potential revenue could be $900,000 for meals tax and $200,000
for cigarette tax.
