The Board of Supervisors of Roanoke County, Virginia, met this day
to go into Executive Session with the Roanoke County School Board at the
Roanoke County Administration Center and meet in Open Session with the Plan-
ning Commission at the Holiday Inn Tanglewood.
IN RE:
CALL m ORDER
At 4: 08 p.m. Chairman May W. Johnson and James A. Wymer Chairman of
the Roanoke County School Board called the meeting to order. The roll call
was taken.:

MEMBERS ABSENT:

IN RE:
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Chainn.3n Johnson entertained a notion to go into Executive Session
pursuant to the Code of Virginia, Section 2.l-344(a) (2) to discuss a real
estate matter. The notion was made by Supervisor Burton and Brs. Charlsie
Pafford aIld carried by unanirrous voice votes.
IN RE:
OPEN SESSION AND RECESS
Supervisor Myers rroved to return to Of..en Session at 5:12 p.m., and
the Irotion carried. by a unanimous voice vote. Chairrnan Johnson called for a
recess until 5:30 p.m. in order to meet with the PlaIlning Carnm.j ssion at the
Holiday Inn Tanglewood.

MEMBERS ABSENT: None
MEMBERS PRESENT:
S1:perintendent of the Department of DeveloprneT't, Tinothy W. Gubala
informed the Board of the status of the Subdivision Ordinance which was the
result of a work session in January. The Subdivision Ordinance was then
discussed. Chai:rman Johnson directed that each Board :rnerrber review the
Ordinance at ham2 and bring it back for a future work session.
County Planner Rob Stalzer outlined the progress that has been made
on the Canprehensive Plan and recornrrended. that the policies be printed and
the data be kept separately in order to keep it up to date. He also reported
a favorable response fran the professional people who are willing to work with
the County in corrpleting the Comprehensive Plan. The meetings with these
citizens are to start in September.

Supervisor Nickens and Mr. Thomas Fisher :rroved to adjourn at
8:55 p.m., and the :rrotion carried. by unaninous voice votes.
