The Roanoke County Board of Supervisors met this day in a
Special Meeting at the Roanoke County School Administration Building
Conference Room. Chairman Edward C. Park, Jr. convened the Special
Meeting at 4:55 p.m. pursuant to call of County Board Chairman Edward C.
Park, Jr. and Vice Chairman Athena E. Burton.
The special meeting was for the purpose of discussing the
possible purchase of real estate for school purposes and a methodology
for financing such purchase.

Please call a special meeting of the Board of Supervisors of
Roanoke County for Thursday, June 10, 1982, at 4:30 p.m. to be held
in the School Administration Building, Board Room, Salem, Virginia,
for a joint meeting with the Roanoke County School Board to discuss
the possible purchase of real estate for school purposes and a
methodology for financing such purchase. An executive session
relating to same may be held.

IN RE:
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Vice Chairman Burton made a motion to go into Executive Session
for the purpose of discussing Real Estate and Legal matters pursuant to
Section 2.l-344(a),(2), and (6) of the Code of Virginia. The motion was
carried.
IN RE:
RETURN TO OPEN SESSION
Motion was TIade by Supervisor Johnson to return to open session.
Motion was carried.
Mr. Bayes lJilson, Roanoke County School Superintendent, then I
briefed the School Board, County Board and public of availability of State
Literary Funds for School Capital Improvements at 3% Interest for up to
$2,000,000 for each p~oject approved by State Department of Public
Instruction.

A motion was made by Supervisor Johnson to adjourn at 5:17 p.m.
