I
Chairman Myers called the meeting to order at 5:40 p.m. and stated
purpose of the meeting is to discuss the fire coordinator's position in
Roanoke County.
Several of the County fire chiefs were present and stated their
desire to continue the position of a fire coordinator within Roanoke County.
It was the opinion of some chiefs, and firemen, that the position is
extremely important in the coordination and administration of the fire
department. Some firemen further stated that if a personnel problem exists
with the present coordinator, Bob Monroe, that it would be their decision to
rectify that situation but asked that the position be put back into the
1981-82 budget.
I
The Supervisors conducted a question and answer period regarding
the fire department, and coordinator. After the discussion, Chairman Myers
reminded the Board that a decision would not be possible at this meeting
and the Board would render that decision at their regular meeting, June
23, 1981.
