The meeting will be held Monday, September 12 at 12 noon at the Roanoke Valley Resource Authority Meeting Room. Lunch will be served. Attached is a copy of the proposed agenda which includes topics that were requested by staff and elected officials. If you have other suggested items, they may be added at the beginning of the meeting. The Resource Authority offices are at the transfer station on Hollins Road. By fax copy to Carolyn Wagner with the Resource Authority, she will be expecting them. I think it would be best to have the joint meeting with Roanoke City Council in the large conference room - IF -you can move the table a little. That way we can move a small table in the room for the rest of us to eat lunch. Murphy's can put the food outside the door. Then after we eat, the media can set up in the conference room. Also, attached are three order forms for the Spring Hollow Print (one for RVRA, one for you and one for John Hubbard). If you take them to Brambleton Frame they have offered us a standard double-matted frame for $60.00. If you want to see how it looks, I've got one in my office. For the record, the luncheon will begin at 12:00 noon on September 12. I will probably come over around 11:00 a.m. to help set up. When we have an agenda prepared, I'll fax it to you. Mary Allen 8/30/94 FAX MEMORANDUM TO: Bob Johnson FROM: Mary Allen IaATE: July 20, 1994 SUBJECT: Joint Meeting with Roanoke City I informed Mary Parker that all our Board members would not be able to attend any of the three proposed dates in July and August. Because of vacation season, we both agreed to wait until September. The two new proposed dates are Monday S ~tember 12 at 12:00 or Monday. September 26 at 12:00. Both would be luncheons followed by an informal discussion. Lee Eddy said both dates are fine with him, but he suggested that I contact you before checking the other board members because you said you sometime had a problem with Mondays. Both of these ARE Roanoke City Council meeting dates. However, the luncheon and meeting will be in the County, so this seems to be a good compromise. Let me know if either of these dates are O.K. with you and I will poll the rest of the Board members. Thanks. The room can be set up any way we want it. I am meeting with Carolyn Wagner next week to see the room and decide how to arrange. There is a kitchen attached so this will make it easy for the caterer.
