This Horse Center will be a public facility owned and operated by Roanoke County with the assistance of an Advisory Committee. In December, a fund raising campaign was put together to take advantage of the year-end contributions and the change in the tax laws. Because of this, it was necessary to establish a Horse Center Advisory Committee to answer questions and assist in the fund raising. These advisory members represent the various horse associations in the area, and are knowledgeable about the kind of facilities that we should include in this project. I have asked the following persons to serve on this Advisory Committee. Interest in the project has been excellent and the committee is to be commended for their effort. Bobbi Camper Ginny Feltner Lowell Gobble Steve McBoom Steve McGraw Laura Norris Don Osborne Pat Smith Don Sutton This committee will be an official part of Roanoke County's Boards, Commissions and Committees. Their function will be to determine the needs for this facility, raise money for the proposed project, and assist in the planning and coordination of the Horse Center. RECOMMENDATION 2 I am requesting ratification by the Board of the members of this committee so they may begin their work. Ac, , Elmer C.
