This is a special meeting of the Board of Supervisors for purposes of interviewing
candidates for the Vinton Magisterial District vacancy.
A. OPENING CEREMONIES
1. Roll Call
Present: Supervisors Mahoney, North, Radford
Absent: Supervisors Hooker
B. REQUESTS TO POSTPONE, ADD TO OR CHANGE THE ORDER OF AGENDA
ITEMS
C. CLOSED MEETING, pursuant to the Code of Virginia as follows:
Action No. 010424-1
1. Section 2.2-3711 A (1) discussion or consideration of the appointment of a
specific public officer, namely interviews of candidates to fill a vacancy on the
Board of Supervisors
Supervisor Mahoney moved to go to closed session. Supervisor Radford seconded
the motion. Motion approved.
Ayes: Supervisors Mahoney, North, Radford
Nays: None
D. CERTIFICATION RESOLUTION
Action No. 010424-2
In the closed session just concluded, nothing was discussed except the matter which
was identified in the motion to convene in closed session. Only those matters

lawfully permitted to be discussed under the Virginia Freedom of Information Act
were discussed.
Supervisor North moved to adopt the certification resolution. Supervisor Radford
seconded the motion. Motion adopted.

Supervisor Mahoney moved to adjourn the meeting. Supervisor North seconded the
motion. Motion approved.
