After discussion, Supervisor Nickens moved to authorize the creation of a police traffic unit which will consist of four officers and associated equipment with the understanding that the unit would actually go into service at beginning of fiscal year July 1st; and prior to that time, the Police Chief is authorized to recruit the necessary people and get them started through the academy; and authorization of a part-time clerk for monitoring so that the Board can re-evaluate on a quarterly basis.
