The Board of Supervisors of Roanoke County, Virginia, met this day
in a work session at the Roanoke County Administration center, Roanoke, Virginia,
this being a work session for exclusive review of the Comprehensive Plan.
IN RE:
CALL TO ORDER
At 3:52 p.m. Vice Chairman Nickens called the meeting to order.
The roll call was taken:
MEMBERS PRESENT:
Vice Chairman, Harry C. Nickens; Supervisor Athena E.
Burton
MEMBERS ABSENT:
Chairman, May W. Johnson; Supervisors Gary J. Minter,
Robert E. Myers
IN RE:
WORK SESSION - COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
Superintendent of the Department of Development, Timothy W. Gubala,
explained that this is the first update of the Comprehensive Plan since 1974.
He introduced the Director of Planning, Rob Stalzer, who presented the status of
the Plan in detail and for discussion and questions of the Board. Supervisor Minter
arrived at 5 :20 p.m.
IN RE:
ADJOURNMENT
At 6:35 p.m. Supervisor Burton moved to adjourn the Work Session,
and the motion carried by a unanimous voice vote.
