Board of County Supervisors Vinton War Memorial 814 East Washington Avenue Vinton, Virginia May 25, 1979 12:00 O'Clock Noon I A special meeting of the Board of County Supervisors of Roanoke County, Virginia, was held on Friday, May 25, 1979, at 12:00 O'Clock Noon at the Vinton War Memorial at 814 East Washington Avenue in Vinton, Virginia, called at the request of Supervisors Edward C. Park, Jr. and Lawrence E. Terry for the purpose of considering a contract with the Town of Vinton for water and sewer service and any other matter or matters unanimously agreed upon by the members of the Board. All five members of the Board of County Supervisors did execute a form waiving any defects in the notice of said special meeting, which waiver is filed with the minutes of this meeting. Members Present: Chairman May W. Johnson, Vice Chairman Robert E. Myers, and Supervisors R. Wayne Compton, Edward C. Park, Jr. and Lawrence E. Terry. Chairman Johnson called the meeting to order at 1:08 p.m. IN RE: RESOLUTION NO. 2313 AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY OF ROANOKE TO ENTER INTO A CERTAIN SEWER AND WATER DEVELOPMENT AND SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH THE TOWN OF VINTON UPON CERTAIN TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE COUNTY OF ROANOKE I BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Supervisors of Roanoke County as follows: 1. That the County of Roanoke be, and it is hereby, authorized to enter into a certain sewer and water development and service agreement dated May 25, 1979, be and between the County of Roanoke and the Town of Vinton to provide sewer and water service to the eastern portion of Roanoke County as defined is said agreement upon all and singular the terms, conditions and provisions more fully set out in said agreement; and I 2. That the Chairman of the Roanoke County Board of Supervisors and the Clerk of said Board, be, and they are hereby, directed to execute and attest, respectfully, said agreement on behalf of the County of Roanoke.
