Service Authority
A special meeting of the Board of County Supervisors was held on
Monday, January 16, 1978, in the Roanoke County Public Service Authority's Enginee -
ing Office, 523 East Main Street, Salem, Virginia, called at the request of
Chairman R. Wayne Compton and Supervisor Edward C. Park, Jr. for the purpose of
discussing legal matters. All five members of the Board were in attendance and
did execute a form waiving any defects in the notice of said special meeting.
The meeting was called to order at 4:47 p.m. by Chairman Wayne Compton.
Persons in attendance included the following: Chairman R. Wayne Compton;
Vice Chairman Robert E. Myers; Supervisors May W. Johnson, Edward C. Park, Jr.,
and Lawrence E. Terry; County Executive William F. Clark; County Attorney C. Dean
Foster, Jr.; former County Attorney Edward A. Natt; PSA Chairman L. S. Waldrop;
PSA Board member B. W. ~1ahoney; PSA Executive Director t~. L. Rossie, Jr.; and
Mr. Jack Wright, accountant.
IN RE:
EXECUTIVE SESSION
At 4:48 p.m., Supervisor Park moved that the Board go into Executive
Session to discuss a legal matter, which motion was adopted by the following
recorded vote:

Mrs. Johnson, Mr. Myers, Mr. Park, Mr. Terry, Mr. Compton
None
At 5:30 p.m., on motion of Supervisor Terry and the unanimous voice

of the members, the Board returned to open session.
IN RE:
WATER AND SEWER CONTRACT
Supervisor Myers moved that the subject of the water and sewer contract
with the City of Roanoke be included as an agenda item at the next regularly
scheduled meeting of the Board on Tuesday, January 24, 1978. The motion was
adopted unanimously.
The meeting adjourned at 5:39 p.m. on motion of Supervisor Myers and
unanimous voice vote.
