The Board of County Supervisors of Roanoke County met this day in the Conference Room of the Office of the County Executive, at 306-A East Main Street, Salem, Virginia; this being a Special Meeting I called by the Clerk at the request of Chairman May W. Johnson and Supervisor R. Wayne Compton for the purpose stated in the waiver of notice, signed by all the members of the Board of County Supervisors and spread as follows: April 7, 1976 We, the undersigned, being members of the Board of County Supervisors of Roanoke County, Virginia, do hereby waive any defects in the notice of a Special Meeting of said Board of County Super- visors to be held in the Conference Room of the County Executive's I Office at 306-A East Main Street, Salem, Virginia, on Wednesday, April 7, 1976 at 3:30 p.m. for the purpose of discussing legal matters. /s/ May W. Members from the Board of County Supervisors present: Chairman May W. Johnson,R. Wayne Compton, C. Lawrence Dodson and Robert E. Myers. Absent: Vice-Chairman E. Deal Tompkins. William F. Clark, County Executive, and Edward A. Natt, I County Attorney, were also in attendance. Chairman Johnson called the meeting to order at 3:50 p.m. and stated the reason for this meeting was to discuss legal matters pertaining to annexation. The County's Annexation Attorney, Mr. Myron C. Smith of Fitzgerald and Smith, was present at the meeting. At 3:51 p.m., Supervisor Dodson moved that the Board go into Executive Session to discuss legal matters. The motion was adopted by the following recorded vote: AYES: Mr. Compton, Mr. Dodson, Mr. Myers, Mrs. Johnson NAYS: None ABSENT: Mr. Tompkins I At 4:38 p.m., the Board reconvened in open session.
