The Board of Supervisors of Roanoke County met this day in the Conference Room of the Board at 306-A East Main Street Salem, Virginia; this being a Special Meeting, called by the Cler at the request of Chairman C. Lawrence Dodson and Supervisor Richard C. Flora for the purposes as stated in the waiver of notice, signed by all the members of the Board of Supervisors, and spread as follows: September 4, 1973 We, the undersigned, being all the members of the Board of Supervisors of Roanoke County, Virginia, and the County Attorn y of Roanoke County, Virginia, do hereby waive any defects in the notice of a Special Meeting of said Board of Supervisors to be held in the Board's Conference Room in the Office of the County Administrator, 306-A East Main Street, Salem, Virginia, on September 4, 1973 at 1:00 p.m., for the following purposes: 1. To discuss the legal aspects of the Annexation litigation; and 2. To consider any other matters upon which the Board may unanimously agree. /s/ C. Hilton, Jr., as well as Administrator'l ! i i I ! At 1:23 p.m., Supervisor Hilton moved that the Board gOI I Annexation litigation. The motion carried on the unanimous voicel I the County Attorney, Edward A. Natt and the County William F. Clark. into Executive Session to discuss the legal aspects of the vote of the Board. At 4:00 p.m., the Board reconvened in open session; at which time, Supervisor Engleby moved that the Law Firm of Fitzgerald and Smith be authorized to take whatever legal action deemed necessary to protect the interests of Roanoke County and its citizens in the present Annexation matters. The motion was seconded by Supervisor Seibel and adopted by the following recorded vote: AYES: Mr. Engleby, Mr. Flora, Mr. Hilton, Mr. Seibel, Mr. Dodson NAYS: None At 4:03 p.m., on the motion of Supervisor Hilton and the unanimous voice vote of the Board, the meeting was adjourned. /1 ~ .\U C'.~ / ~.
