The matter of the Board being charged for its use
of the meeting facilities at the Salem-Roanoke Valley Civic
Center was discussed. The Board was advised by the County
Administrator that there will be listed on the Supervisors'
January 8, 1974 Agenda a letter stating that the Civic Center
Commission is recommending that everyone using the Center's
facilities, including the governing bodies, pay normal fees.
This suggestion requires confirmation by both Salem and Roanoke
County.
Raymond R. Robrecht, one of Roanoke County's repre-
sentatives to the General Assemble, was present to wish the
Board all the best in 1974 and to assure them of any cooperation
the legislators can give.
