CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Woody Windley called the meeting to order at 8:58 am
REQUEST TO POSTPONE, ADD OR CHANGE THE ORDER OF THE AGENDA ITEMS
None.
APPROVAL OF JANUARY 18, 2023 MINUTES
On motion by Barry Thompson to approve minutes of January 18,2023, seconded by Steve
Anderson, the motion carried by unanimous vote.
FINANCE REPORT
Catherine Hall, Finance Central Accounting Manager, reviewed the statements of revenues,
expenditures and changes in the fund balances ending in January 31,2023. The current cash
balance in the EDA account is $556,332.
On motion by Greg Apostolou to accept and approve the financial report as presented,
seconded by Kyle Richardson, the motion carried unanimously.
BRIEFINGS
1. Virginia Tech's Center for Economic and Community Engagement: GO Virginia
Region 2 Presentation
Scott Tate and Quina Weber-Sink from the Virginia Tech Center for Economic and
Community Engagement presented on Go Virginia, a statewide grant program that
promotes regional economic development.
The EDA board asked multiple question regarding this program and discussion followed.
2. Director's Report
Megan Baker highlighted some of her areas of focus this year including site readiness,
marketing, and reviewing the EDA grant programs.
She also introduced Sheryl Garner as the new Administrative Assistant for the Economic
Development department and Karli Foster the new Economic Development Specialist.

None.
ADJOURNEMENT
On motion by Woody Windley, and seconded by Greg Apostolou, the meeting was adjourned at
10:03 a.m.
NEXT SCHEDULED MEETING
Megan Baker stated the next meeting would be March 22, 2023
