County Administration Center,this being their regularly scheduled monthly meeting,.
Call to order
Chairman, Billy Branch, called the meeting to order.at 9:00 A.M.
Minutes .
A motion was made by Cap Robinson and seconded by.Carole Brackman to approve .the.
minutes as read. The motion carried by unanimous voice vote.
Finance Report
Rebecca Owens, Director of Finance, presented financial reports for the current period
through February 29, 2008:
Briefing
Bond Sale Update - The County priced and sold all bonds and will be closing the end of the
week, March.20-21',.2008. .:The interest range was between 4 and 5 percent: The lease
March 19,2008
Economic Development Authority
Revenue Bonds (Public Facility Projects), Series 2008 received an AA- rating. The county
maintained an AA rating on outstanding General obligation Bonds. This is good news for the
County.
Bond Rating Presentation
At this time, Rebecca Owens and Doug Chittum gave the Bond Rating Presentation to the
Board as it was given to Fitch, the Bond Rating Agency: This presentation gave an overview
of the County outlining the growth, broad economic base, regional initiatives, commitment to
public education and safety, municipal services, sports marketing and tourism, libraries and
recreation. .The presentation also included the total financial overview of the County, and.
the projects to be financed through the bond sale.
