Members Present Chairman-Bill Branch Greg Apostolou Carole Brackman Allan"Cap" Robinson Woody Windley Doug Chittum,Secretary-Treasurer Terrie Cochran,Recording Clerk Members Absent Vice Chairman-Steve Musselwhite Craig Sharp ED Natt,Counsel Guest Jill Loope,Assistant Director of Economic Development,Roanoke County Rebecca Owens,Director of Finance Elizabeth Atkinson,Financial Analyst,Roanoke County The Economic Development Authority of Roanoke County, Virginia met this day at the Roanoke County Administration Center, this being a special called meeting to discuss the Center for Research and Technology,and to replace the regularly scheduled meeting of march 21,2007. A. Call to order Chairman,Billy Branch,called the meeting to order at 9:00 A.M. B. Minutes A motion was made by Cap Robinson to accept the January 17, 2007 minutes as read,Seconded by Carole Brackman,carried by unanimous voice vote. C. Finance Report Elizabeth Atkinson, Roanoke County Finance Analyst presented the Finance Reports for the current period through February 28, 2007. Elizabeth informed the board that a payment in the amount of $3605.00 was made to Foti,Flynn,Lowen and Company for the 2006 audit. A motion was made to accept the financial report as given,carried by unanimous voice vote. Page 2 March 7,2007 Economic Development Authority Minutes D. New Business Dl. Center for Research and Technology Doug Chittum addressed the board concerning rezoning 25 acres of land within the CRT owned by the Economic Development Authority. Allan "Cap" Robinson made a motion for Chairman, Billy Branch to have the authorization to execute applications to rezone the 25 acres of land in the CRT. Seconded by Woody Windley,carried by unanimous voice vote. E. Briefings El. Vinton Façade Mini Grant Reimbursements A reimbursement payment in the amount of$4340.50 was written for Vinton Facade Mini Grant to Dogwood Restaurant and Delong's Clothing Store. E2.Economic Development Grants Doug Chittum discussed with the board that several reimbursement payments were written for Economic Development Grants. The reimbursements were in compliance with the conditions of Performance Agreements between the respective companies,the County and by the EDA. A.Finks Jewelers-$75,000.00 B.Novozymes-Governors Opportunity Fund$100,000.00 C.Integrity Windows and Doors-Generated Tax Revenue-$122,361.20 D.Integrity Windows and Doors-Governors Opportunity Fund Phase II-$200,000.00 E.Cardinal Glass-Generated Tax Revenue-$201,516.69 F.Town of Vinton-Generated Tax Revenue by Cardinal Glass-210,400.00 G. Roanoke County Share-Generated Tax Revenue by Cardinal Glass-$52,600.00 H.Springwood Associates-$58,750.89 F. Reports and Inquires of Board Members Hearing none G.
