Consent Agenda Mr. Murphy provided a brief update rega16ng Blue Ridge Bread, Inc, (Panera), [including current zoning and site plan. Mr. Marrano inquired about access. Mr. Murphy discussed access and the traffic flow and stacking of the restaurant drive-thru traffic, Mr. Jarrell ir1qUired about placement of directional signage. Mr. Murphy discussed placement of directional signage, The Commissioners inquired about changes regarding parking. Mr. Murphy, Ms., Cronise, and Mr.Thonipson diSGUssedthls issue. Mr, Jarrell made a motion to approvethe consent agenda, which passed 4-0. Comments of Commissioners and Staff Mr. Jarrell stated the Community School has postponed their expansion project for one year due to water access being cost prolnibitive,, Mr. Gene Marrano requested an update on South Peak. Mr, Thompscm and Mr. Mahoney discussed this issue with the Commissioners. Mr, Jarrell inquired about traffic flow, Mr. Thompson discussed this issue, Ms. Cronise noted construction has begun ors the site. Mr. Murphy noted South Peak has a webs4e link regarding progress, im OA OK OUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION MIINUITES MAY 1, 2012 Mn Thompson briefly discussed an article from the Cave Spring Connection regardllng residential poultry. He announced the May 15, 2012, meeting will begin at 5;010 p.m. He reviewed various regulatibns of other localities. He stated he and Ms. MicMow had visited several of the sites. Mr. Peters noted some Homeowners'Assoclations (HoAs) have restrictive covenants. Mr. Thompson noted the County , does not govern the HOA's restrictive covenants. Mr. Marrano inqUired about setbacks, Mr. Thompson discussed this issue, Mr, Jarrell inquired about waste removal from chickens. Mr, Thompson stated some compost the waste and some strUctures are mobill e and are moved around the yard. Staff and Commissioners went on site ^Mslt to view the Srnafl Wind Energy System at 4824 Wade Road. The Crounty van arrived' back at the Roanoke County Administration Center at approxin nately' 6:10 p,m.
