WORK SESSION
Mr. Bower called the meeting to order at 6:05 p.m.
Approval of Agenda :.
Mr: James made a motion to approve the agenda. The motion passed 4-0:
Discussion of Possible Zoning Ordinance Amendments
Mr Thompson presented the possible zoning ordinance amendments for: the official

He then reviewed the proposed changes due to changes in:theCounty Stormwater
Ordinance regarding site development plans and plot plans. There was discussion of
possible repercussions of enacting:these changes.: It was determined that Tarek Moneir,
the Director of.Development Services; will:be:invited to answer questions regarding the
changes at the June 3, 2025; meeting. .•

Comments of Planning Commissioners of Planning Staff
Mr. Thompson noted that in the Roanoke County 200 Plan there is a recommendation
to do a housing study, an RFP was put out and a firm was selected to conduct a
housing study. He noted that next steps are stakeholder interviews on June 23-25. He
noted that an email will be sent to the Planning Commission should they wish to
participate.
Mr. Thompson noted that three applications have been submitted for the Planning
Commission's July public hearing.
Mr. Thompson reviewed the three applications that the Planning Commission sent to
the Board of Supervisors with a recommendation to approve, Cavern LLC, Sergei Larin,
and Roanoke Valley Holdings, LLC, were all approved.
He noted that the annual review of the Comprehensive Plan will begin in June.

Mr. Bower adjourned the meeting at 7:49 p.m.
