Approval of Agenda Mr. Witt moved to approve the agenda. Motion passed 3 -0. Consent Agenda Mr. Robinson moved to approve the Consent Agenda. Motion passed 3 -0. The amended Screening, Landscaping and Buffer Yards ordinance will be presented to the BOS at the November 13 BOS Work Session. g Chittum, Director, Department Discussion o Economic Development wit ou i of Economic Development Mr. Chittum gave an update on Economic Development in the Clearbrook area regarding the Land Rover site. He stated that the proposed building will be 4500 square feet on three sites. He stated that several neighbors have requested that Stable Road not be used as an entrance/exit, however, VDOT will have the final say on how Route 22o will be used. Mr. Chittum gave an overview of history regarding the purchase and proposed development of the property. He emphasized that the entrance/exit for the property is up to VDOT. Ms. Scheid stated that there will be a Civic League meeting on Thursday night, October 18 at 7:30. There will be a performance agreement with the BOS on October 23, 2001. The business is expected to produce $300,000 in tax revenues. There is a water and sewer lien on the property and there is a $200,000 hook -up fee for the two proposed buildings. Ms. Hooker asked about the Glen Mary improvements. Mr. Chittum stated that HSMM was designing the road improvements. County money is being used for the project. Ms. Hooker asked if we had any prospects for the park and Mr. Chittum stated that they had one strong prospect. Review of Draft Mountain Protection Ordinance Ms. Scheid gave an overview of the updated draft. She requested that the PC use the Zoning Summary handout to decide on the additional possible prohibited uses and Special Use Permit Uses. It will be determined what the area of the county is affected by the MPO and there will be a calculation of the amount of land in each zoning category keeping in mind that the land can be re -zoned in the future. Billboard & Off -Premises Signs Moratorium Ms. Hooker made the motion to put a moratorium on additional Billboards and Off- premise signs and to revise the zoning ordinance language to prohibit new Off-premises signs. The motion passed 4-0. Upcoming Meetinps: 11/8/01 — Colonial Avenue Corridor Meeting in the Board of Supervisors Board Room at the RCAC. Tim Beard is POC.
