BOARD MEETINGROOM Due to the present state of emergency associated with the Coronavirus (COVID-19), all Roanoke County buildings are closed to the public. This public hearing will be broadcast live so thatmembers of the public may view the meeting on Roanoke Valley Television–Channel 3(RVTV-3), or online on the Roanoke County website: www.roanokecountyva.gov.(Click on the “Watch Board Meetings Online”box/button). Prior to and during the public hearing, citizens may share comments on the agenda items by electronic mail (planning@roanokecountyva.gov)or by phone (540-776-7278). Please include your name and address. Comments will be read aloud during the meeting, subject to reasonable time limitations. EVENINGSESSION A.Call to Order B.Invocation: Mr. JimWoltz It is a long-standing tradition of the Roanoke County Planning Commission to offera prayerorholdamomentofsilencepriortoconductingpublichearings.Thegoalof thispracticeistosetthemindsofallwhoarepresenttoahigherpurposeandtoinvite all to reflect upon shared ideals and commonends. We invite County citizens of all faiths, who desire to lead such a prayer or momentof silence, to please contact the administrative assistant at least two weeks inadvance. Whennocitizenhasarrangedtoleadtheinvocation,amemberofthePlanning Commission,inhisorherindividualcapacity,willdoso.Allwhoarepresentmay choose whether to stand or otherwiseparticipate. C.Pledge of Allegiance D.Approval ofAgenda E.Resolution Authorizing the Adoption of Procedures for Electronic Public Meetings and Public Hearings to Ensure the Continuity of Government During the COVID-19 Pandemic Disaster F.Approval of Minutes –March 3, 2020 G.Public HearingPetitions: 1.The petition of Western Virginia Regional Industrial Facility Authority to rezone 2.02 acres from R-1, Low Density Residential, District to PTD, Planned Technology Development, District for the development of the Wood Haven Technology Park, and to amend a portion (43.72 acres) ofthe Wood Haven Technology Park Master Plan, located in the 7800 and 7900 blocks of Wood Haven Road, including 7875 Wood Haven Road, Catawba Magisterial District. 10-minuterecess to receive comments via phone or email 2.ProposedamendmenttotheRoanokeCountyComprehensivePlan.Theproposed amendment would incorporate the Hollins Center Plan into the RoanokeCounty Comprehensive Plan. TheHollinsCenterPlanstudyareaisapproximately465acresinsizelocatednear Hollins University covering Plantation Road from Williamson Road to Interstate81 and Williamson Road from Hollins University to Peters Creek Road.
