BOARD MEETING ROOM EVENING SESSION A.Call to Order B.Invocation: Mr. Jim Woltz It is a long-standing tradition of the Roanoke County Planning Commission to offer a prayer or hold a moment of silence prior to conducting public hearings. The goal of this practice is to set the minds of all who are present to a higher purpose and to invite all to reflect upon shared ideals and common ends. We invite County citizens of all faiths, who desire to lead such a prayer or moment of silence, to please contact the administrative assistant at least two weeks in advance. When no citizen has arranged to lead the invocation, a member of the Planning Commission, in his or her individual capacity, will do so. All who are present may choose whether to stand or otherwise participate. Disclaimer: Any invocation that may be offered before the official start of the Commission hearing shall be the voluntary offering of a private citizen. The views or beliefs expressed by the invocation speaker have not been previously reviewed or approved by the Commission and do not necessarily represent the religious beliefs or views of the Commission in part or as a whole. No member of the community is required to attend or participate in the invocation and such decision will have no impact on their right to actively participate in the business of the Commission. Proposed amendment to the Roanoke County Comprehensive Plan. The proposed amendment would incorporate the Hollins Center Plan into the Roanoke County Comprehensive Plan. The Hollins Center Plan study area is approximately 465 acres in size located near Hollins University covering Plantation Road from Williamson Road to Interstate 81 and Williamson Road from Hollins University to Peters Creek Road.
