Mr. Bower called the meeting to order at 6 01 p.m.
Approval of Agenda
Mr. Henderson made a motion to approve the agenda, which passed 5-0.
CORTRAN Services
Ms. Paula Benke, CORTRAN Program Coordinator, provided a PowerPoint presentation,
including a brief history, rider eligibility requirements, and ride information. She noted
most riders are ambulatory. She stated that on January 12, 2021, the CORTRAN
program provider changed from RADAR to Via. She discussed changes, including
booking, canceling, and tracking rides with the CORTRAN app. She stated additional
changes are wheelchair accessible vehicles, ride sharing with up to three passengers,
providing ride credits to riders' accounts instead of paying on board, and instituting
COVID-19 measures. Ms. Cronise and the Commissioners discussed the CORTRAN
website and app. Ms. Benke discussed ridership. Ms. Cronise, Ms. Benke, and the
Commissioners discussed costs and funding including Federal grants. 'They discussed
urban versus rural population in the County. They stated 23% of the population is eligible
for services with only 0.6% of the population being enrolled in the program. Mr.
