D R U M O N D As the Chief of Police, I am honored to present the 2022 Vinton Police Department annual report on behalf of our officers and professional staff. The yearly publications function as a benchmark for any law enforcement agency. We capture and share statistical data and trends, but our jobs do not stop there. We also capture a critical component of policing, our connection with the community. The foundation of any successful relationship is based on transparency, trust, and collaborative cooperation. The Vinton Police Department always strives to work alongside our community and various stakeholders. From policing to community projects, the Vinton Police Department will always ensure that our actions are focused, intentional, and with an unwavering commitment to improving the quality of our service. As an agency, we certainly reflect on our past, but we always aim to be a progressive agency that prepares for our future. As community servants, we have an inherent duty to be reflective of our residents and the community that we serve. Our commitment remains true today, as it has been in the past. The men and women of the Vinton Police Department will always strive to keep our communities safe and continue to work towards making the Town of Vinton a destination place for all to eat, shop, live, and play. As an agency, we will always be accountable to those we serve. Together we will advance our agency, remain true to our mission, and earn the right to police and engage with our community. Public safety is an honorable profession and a critical component of our social fabric. One of my greatest honors is being able to serve the Town of Vinton as your Chief of Police. In closing, as the Chief of Police, I am grateful for the men and women of the Vinton Police Department. A team of dedicated professionals who have a passion for improving the quality of life for us all. As a Chief, I am honored to serve alongside them, and as a private citizen, I am grateful to have our officers. All the events, statistical data, and engagement are attributed to their success. It is them that make the Vinton Police Department. I have the distinct pleasure of being their Chief. 01Vinton Police Department Annual Report S P E C I A L E V E N T S 02Vinton Police Department Annual Report S h op w i th a Cop Breakfas t with Sant a Pancak e s with P olic e Lit tle F e et Meet Y E A R L Y S T A T I S T I C S 03Vinton Police Department Annual Report Y E A R L Y S T A T I S T I C S 04Vinton Police Department Annual Report C R I M E A N A L Y S I S R E P O R T 05Vinton Police Department Annual Report C R I M E A N A L Y S I S R E P O R T 06Vinton Police Department Annual Report G R A N T S The Vinton P olice Dep artme nt was aw a rd ed s everal gran ts th ought DCJ S in 20 22.
