On behalf of the Vinton Police Department, it is our distinct honor to present the 2024 Vinton
Police Department Annual Report—a testament to our commitment to this great town and the
people who call it home.
Vinton is more than a place on the map— it is a thriving community united by a strong sense of
belonging and togetherness. It is a town where neighbors look out for one another, where families
grow, and where businesses thrive. As your police department, we are deeply proud to serve and be
a part of this incredible community.
Over the past year, we have confronted challenges with resilience, transforming adversity into a
catalyst for strength and a space for innovation. We have embraced new opportunities, maintained
strategic partnerships, and above all, upheld the sacred trust between law enforcement and the
community. Every decision we make is guided by one goal—to keep Vinton safe and strong. While
there is always more work to be done, the police department will always remain committed to
creating safe communities and continue to earn the right to offer premier law enforcement
services built on legitimacy, trust, and the rule of law.
In 2025, we have continued to place focus on community engagement, advanced training, and
embraced technological advances that complement our ability to serve. We live in a fast-paced
world with growing needs. We stand at the forefront of that change, ensuring our officers are
prepared, equipped, and inspired to meet the evolving needs of our town. The dedication of our
officers, the steadfast support from our residents, and the leadership of this community are what
make Vinton a shining example of what a safe, prosperous, and united town should be.
This report is more than numbers and statistics—it is a reflection of our shared commitment to
excellence. While there will always be work to be done, it is a promise that the Vinton Police
Department will always stand ready to protect, serve, and uplift our community.
Vinton is not just where we work—it is where we live, where we raise our families, and where our
hearts belong. Together we can continue to ensure that it remains a vibrant, welcoming, and
thriving town—a place where people proudly come to live, work, shop, and play.
On behalf of the entire Vinton Police Department, thank you for your trust, your partnership, and
your support. Together, we will continue to build a safer, stronger, and brighter future for Vinton.
