NOTICE OF TOWN COUNCIL EVENTS
In the interest of transparency and keeping the public informed, the Town of Vinton is
providing notice that members of the Vinton Town Council are expected to attend the
following community events and activities.
These events are not meetings of the Vinton Town Council. No Town business will be
conducted, no public matters will be discussed among a quorum of Council, and no action
will be taken.
Open House at Gish Mill
Date: Monday, July 27, 2026
Time: 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Members of Town Council may attend this community event. The Gish Mill Open House is
not hosted by the Town of Vinton.
APA Virginia / VAPA Awards Luncheon
Date: Tuesday, July 28, 2026
Time: Approximately 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Members of Council will attend the American Planning Association of Virginia Awards
Luncheon, where the Town of Vinton's 2050 Comprehensive Plan will be recognized as Plan
of the Year.
National Night Out
Date: Tuesday, August 4, 2026
Time: 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Members of Council will attend National Night Out, hosted by the Vinton Police
Department, to engage with residents and support this annual community event.
This notice is provided solely as a courtesy to the public and in the interest of promoting
transparency regarding Council members' attendance at community events.
