Consider the adoption of a Resolution requesting the General Assembly amend the Charter of the Town of Vinton to remove and/or resolve inconsistent, outdated, and/or unnecessary language, to clarify language regarding the Town Manager’s authority, and Bradley E. Grose, Mayor Laurie J. Mullins, Vice Mayor Keith N. Liles, Council Member Sabrina M. McCarty, Council Member Michael W. Stovall, Council Member Vinton Municipal Building 311 South Pollard Street Vinton, VA 24179 (540) 983-0607 2 to incorporate other language requested by Town Council. – Cody Sexton, Deputy Town Manager J. PUBLIC HEARING 1. Consideration of public comments concerning the proposed amendments, transfers, and additional appropriations to the Town of Vinton’s FY2026-2027 budget to appropriate funding for projects and activities that were budgeted and appropriated in the previous fiscal year in the total amount of $1,160,000 in the General Fund and the Capital Fund. These previously funded projects include equipment purchases and repairs, contractual services, and capital projects for the History Museum, water infrastructure, and stormwater infrastructure. a. Consideration of public comments concerning the proposed budget amendment to appropriate $2,500,000 received from the General Obligation Bond and $1,150,000 from unappropriated fund balance in the Capital Fund for the Funding of the Vinton War Memorial Renovation Project in the total amount of $3,650,000. a.
